"I’ve been coming to Backyard Grill since I was in high school and let me tell you, to this very day the quality of food and atmosphere of the restaurant are still as delicious and cozy as ever. I highly recommend the Italian beef, anything off their salad bar, definitely the gyros and gyros plate, and their chicken kabob plate. Some things never change and it’s a good thing. Backyard Grill is and will forever be a Chicago staple."

"We moved around the corner from this place in 1979 (back when it truly was, just a shack). Only ever really had hot dogs or beef, but even after moving away, 35 'ish years later, I still seek out this place when I 'm in the area. Their prices are reasonable (especially considering how much food they give you). I think I 've seen all generations (starting with great grandpa the referee), and the staff has always been efficient (not 'southern hospitality friendly, but down to business quick). I 've visited a few of the other locations pretty much same experience at those as well."

"I almost never give 5 stars, but they deserved it. My burger was a little weird than I like, but if you get a first-class ribburger with a fried egg on it, it will be a mess. It was the best burger I ever had. I hear people talking about the red square in Michigan, but this burger was 100x better! I don't know what brand of Ranch they use, but it was perfect on the Gizmories! Chocolate shaker was Amazeball! My wife and I loved it. I had to order a coke because we drank quickly. Got 6 parodies as appetizers and my wife and I both really enjoyed them. Service was fantastic! The owner asked what film we wanted on the projection screen. She said choose any movie, so we said what you want. Twister! Man, I forgot how much I liked this movie! I'm a great Helen Hunt fan. This place was fantastic!"

I got her fresy bark, and I think it would have been better without weighing the cheese. the construction of the sandwiches could have been better: the brot was not far enough cut through so that the half of the sandos was only brot. we tried her mac and cheese and it was really the worst mac I had. their fries and the tastes were good."
