"3.5 Would I return? If in the area, but wouldn’t necessarily make a special trip. <br/>I have a thing for avo, eggs and bacon and so tend to go for this classic brunch option. Good portion size, lightly salted avo and runny eggs which is what you want. Also, bread is important people, and this bread was particularly good. Each of us enjoyed our casual brunch in this small but bright cafe."

"Finished class at uni for the day and thought thank god it’s Friday..... so hey, why don’t we try TGIF southbank rushed in to escape the blistering cold Melbourne weather and was greeted at the door with a very welcoming smile no booking but the waiter was swift to reset a table! It was like a typical Wednesday night passing practice for the workers at TGIF, construction with the 6, into the 10s, through to the 9. Honestly it was a pleasure to watch! We were super hungry so just a couple of entrees to start calamari chicken wings were super and the Beef ribs with a tangy Texas BBQ sauce were full of flavour and fell effortlessly off the bone! The service was very friendly and always so attentive. Shout out to our waiter on the night. Didn’t quite grab his name upon departure but he certainly went above and beyond in every aspect to make our experience a pleasant one!"

"So Courtney is way too busy on her phone to actually serve a customer!!!! And when I said hi can I get a drink...she was actually annoyed!!!This Hotel is missing the mark in so many areas! It is a PRIME location and if they had staff that actually wanted to be there they might do better. Seriously...sack the people who think they are better than customers!!!!"

"Corn and pea fritters for the win! These were presented with a poached egg, spinach, bacon, avocado and tomato relish. At $17 for a serve , good value. Yum! Actions speak louder than words.. you would be correct if you guessed I would go back for more of those fritters!"

"First off the guy serving me was a really friendly guy so that was great. Pricing of the stuff here is not too bad for the portions and taste. I do find the fish a lil bit too oily, would've been nice if they had something to absorb the oil to make it feel less artery clogging. Definitely coming back here to try more dishes. Their specialty is actually their burgers(staff told me), was hoping it was the fish. I had the whiting fish and it was really soft and juicy, batter was thing and crispy and the crispiness holds well, just a tad bit oily I'd say. Overall it's a great place to dine at."

"Beautiful light, crispy batter, the flake is fresh, generously proportioned and delicious. The Islands Deluxe burger has a nice thick patty with a tasty sauce, encapsulated in a soft brioche bun. Well worth a try. The calamari and scallops have the same batter as the flake. Slight criticism is I found the calamari and scallops slightly underdone, but it’s not a fatal flaw and I will be a returning customer. Staff are friendly and prompt. I look forward to coming back."

"Lots of local and interstate craft beers to choose from and a menu with options to please everyone. We visited with a family group, including two small kids. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual with an open design and high ceilings. There is a small outdoor area but the seating inside is large enough to fit 100 people. I ordered the muscles with sourdough and I can't remember having a better version of this classic dish. All the staff were very helpful and were more than happy to talk about the food or the origins of the local craft beers. Next time I visit Preston, I will definitely visit Stray Neighbour."
