"We were first attracted to this place because it had an interesting cider (as in not James Squire or Bulmers) on tap. Ordered a beef burger and a cheeseburger, chips and onion rings and some ciders. The burgers were medium rare, brioche buns tasty and meat/salad or pickle/sauce/cheese ratio was good. The chips and onion rings were tasty, and the onion ring sauce was delish. The cider was light and fruity. Overall, a really enjoyable lunch. We will return."

"Cafe Republic took me by surprise. Honestly I haven’t seen it pop up on any social media or any foodies pages, so when my friend suggested it I was a little bit skeptical. However, it was a lovely brunch. Not overly flamboyant and the food was tasty along with very good service. <br/ <br/ I ordered the green breakfast bowl, the portion could have been a little bigger for me. The poached eggs were perfect, the pumpkin was sweet and delicious. And the greens were all seasoned really well. As I said feel the portion could be a little bigger or maybe a slice of toast could be added. <br/ <br/ The granola was huge! A great portion size. With plenty of fruit which I loved. The fruit was fresh and varied from blueberries to passionfruit. The panacotta had a lovely wobbly and hint of sweet vanilla.<br/ <br/ The service was fab, I didn’t want avocado with my bowl and they happily swapped it out for mushrooms. That’s something you don’t really get in Melbourne usually they still charge you so I loved that extra bit of customer care. <br/ <br/ A really pleasant surprise. A homely feel. I will visit again. :"

"Came here for 1 quick drink the during the week the indoor area was not open, I was not too keen to be sitting on a rooftop bar outside in the winter, BUT the manager (i think) was great!<br/ <br/ He walked us upstairs and not only were we seated in a cosy and covered space but we also had our own little portable heater too.<br/ Thumbs up for great service...we ended up enjoying 2..ok 3 drinks each."
