"The restaurant was almost empty, when we went there, around o'clock to get some dinner. It became quite soon clear that the people in the neighboring table were regulars and the waiter was drinking with them. Despite (or because of that, the service seemed...quite friendly. The food wasn't that special, just good italian food. While eating we was many of the people passing by greeting the people in the restaurant, so they seem to have a large body of regulars around there. After eating we decided exceptionally to get some dessert. The first choice was out, as was the second, so we ended up ordering one of remaining dishes each. What we got were two identical dishes which were a mixture of the ordered ones. With some extra price. So, that was the part which left us a bit confused."

"The “small and imperial” who wants to bring the liveable Austrian coffee houses to the hamburgerhafenstadt, makes the first part of his name all honor: he is small and almost higher than wide. the space for a second plane, which is reached via a rather narrow half-shifted staircase. Above all, a glass front extends which opens the view of the road. the small device fits a flat caffeine, and the same applies to the offer of food and drink. they can go to the breakfast and to the afternoon coffee, but they can also eat, such as carving or as a deft contrast program a North German building breakfast. I chose the carving, and this came very neatly prepared and dressed on the table, with gurkensalat comme il faut. the green veltliner tasted very good. was served by a nice young waitress and the chef, both made their thing very neat. the price level I feel as not too high, measured at the conditions in the harbour city. the local is located on the ground floor of a modern business house. back to the conditions of the old coffee houses they will be in the washrooms. in the hearts it was narrow and a little untreated."

"Very very pricey restaurants with tiny portions. We took sashimi (28 euros and tempura (17.50 . Both tiny and we had more food at home to not starve. I really mean it. The tempura had one piece of jumbo shrimp, one piece of aubergine, one piece of zucchini and one piece of paprika. Even as a started, it would be a joke. The sashimi was just a bit bigger, but still too small for one person. Quality was good but not enough for the crazy prices. Wine was good but again not good enough for 11 euro a glass (which they say it was 0.2 but no markings on the glass, and no way it was! Can't recommend it."

"Ein zweiter Besuch im „Mediterraneo“, diesmal im Sommer. Soo schön ist es, auf der Terrasse zu sitzen, fast eine heimelige Atmosphäre. Es wirkt noch authentischer als drinnen.Keine langen Wartezeiten auch diesmal. Und das Essen allererste Klasse: Carpaccio di Manzo hauchzart, hübsch angerichtet mit dünnen Käsescheiben um den Salat. Und der Feldsalat mit schmalen Streifen von Leber sowie dünnen Apfelscheiben bekommt zumal durch die Himbeer-Vinaigrette eine absolut persönliche Note. Alle Zutaten erstklassig, aber das Besondere ist die Zusammenstellung, die Komposition. Ja, das ist Italien in Volksdorf!!!Dabei kein Schicki-Micki-Lokal, sondern Menschen wie Du und ich."
