"My husband called and ordered beef chop suey $7.50), lemon chicken $9.95) and vegetable egg foo yong $7.95) for pick up early Sunday evening. He was told food would be ready in 15 mins but he arranged for a later pick up time. When we got here our order was already brown bagged and sealed. We paid cash but afterwards had to remind the cashier about the 10% discount on cash pick up order over $25 since the promo was not automatically applied to our order during payment. The food was expertly packed, the sauces separate in leak-proof styro bowls. We even got fortune cookies and a few condiment packets in a small clear bag. Everything was cooked perfectly and portions were generous. Lemon chicken was good. Egg foo yong was just ok we have tasted better). However we were a little disappointed with the chop suey as it was basically stir-fried bean sprouts with hardly any other veggies in it. To be fair, it was described as “carrots, onion and bean sprouts stir-fried” on the menu. However, we prefer the mixed veggies version and if I had known we were getting 90% bean sprouts I would have chosen something else. On the plus side, food here at Chinese Express Takeout is said to be msg-free."
