"I've been trying to find some really good Chinese food and my search is over. There are many in the area to try but this one is at the top of my list. The location is easy to find with plenty of parking nearby. The prices are about average for the amount of food served. There is inside seating with large tables for families. The food is not only plated nice but the flavor is what won me over. Fresh vegetables and cooked to perfection. Friendly staff and the food was served hot off the stove with little wait time. They have a good amount of to-go orders but that didn't seem to slow them down. Give them a try for authentic Chinese food."

"Really enjoyed this meal. The language barrier create service which wasn’t perfect, but that ended up being part of the fun. The food was a traditional Americanized-Chinese, but it was a very good version of that cuisine. I would go back. Tiger prawns were difficult due to them being fried shell-on. Everything else was top notch."

"The experience was unique (a departure from the standard American 'Chinese ' food experience) and while you can order standard Amer-Chinese food here, I highly suggest trying their special menu for the dry spicy pot and the ma la soup. My group ordered both and shared between the three of us. It was fantastic! I truly enjoyed the food and the experience of the 'build your own dish ' that comes with both the ma la soup and the dry spicy pot. I highly recommend this restaurant!"

"Heads up. I was talking to the staff and Chef Hunan will remodel their kitchen from 11/21/2022 to 12/5/2022. They will be closed. As a frequent customer here, the waiter didn't want me to show up and get moded. Tonight, I had their Hong Kong style tomato beef crispy noodles $11. Excellent as always. Good job everyone at Chef Hunan."

"The service at Happy Garden Bayside Restaurant has deteriorated since our previous visits. It is disappointing when a place we used to enjoy changes for the worse. In all of our previous visits, the staff was attentive and accommodating to our dietary restrictions and allergies. Food was deliciously authentic and served in a timely fashion. We even recommended our family, friends and neighbors here.So we expected nothing less when we decided to reserve their VIP room for 16 people tonight. BUT WE WERE TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED.Aside from dinner being served an hour later than then the reservation time, the forgotten appetizer platters, staff members continuously coming into our private room to grab supplies and then slamming the door behind them without asking if we needed anything, we were most enraged that after guaranteeing us that they can accommodate to our anaphylactic food allergy with PINE-NUTS... THERE WAS PINE-NUTS SPRINKLED ALL OVER THE TWO MARKET PRICED FISH DISHES! They refused to fix the orders and had the audacity to argue that we didn't tip them enough on the bill!Needless to say, this will be our last visit here and would no longer recommend this place to anyone else."
