"I've been to the BV twice in recent months, Manuka because of its proximity to our office. The decor looks inviting, although the little stools don't encourage a long boozy lunch atmosphere!The house special is fish cooked in a steam boat with a selection of ingredients from the extensively pictured menu. The other patrons were having that and looked pretty happy. After we waved our wait staff over after giving up waiting for them to come to us (surprising given there were only three tables of patrons), we went for three al a carte options. They were beans with Pork mince, beef with oyster sauce, and a fried rice. All arrived in that order five or so minutes apart. It was great they were fresh cooked, but it did not make for a balanced meal. Of the dishes, the beef was great, the rice fine and the beans on the verge of burned but OK. This place has some positives, but I've been twice and am not likely to bother again."

"This little restaurant does not look like much from the outside BUT the food was excellent. Amazing flavours, very good service. I ate here three times in a week as the menu was great and the food just kept getting better and better."
