"I will start off by saying their food tastes great but the service is very poor which makes me not want to come here. I ordered online for delivery through various delivery services and each time this restaurant doesn 't pack the items. This has happen several times back to back. I got fed up with it and decided to call them after this has been happening too many times to ask what was happening. It was always happening to my drink and rice those were always missing all the time. when I called the lady that answered the phone was hard to understand her. I told her over 4 times in many different ways what the issue was and finally she said oh yeah I forgot to put the soda, rice oh no rice . LMAO! no apologies no refund no care. The service is horrendous and they do not give refunds for their mistakes no matter what. I feel like this is a regular occurrence with this restaurant I don 't plan to order from here anymore."

"I have eaten at various Chinese Restaurants in my life and I am almost 70 years old. The best place by far is Shan Shan Low off Willow Pass Road in Concord. The food is fresh and good.... and I have eaten there for the past 28+ years, but I decided to venture out this eve with the wife and she chose Yan 's Garden. Regarding Yan 's Garden Chinese Rest (2223 Morello Ave, PH, CA), I had the worst experience yet today after spending $50+ on the food for the wife and myself.... I will never be back. The food was disgusting. My lemon chicken if that is what you call it.... was chewy, old, and cold; gave it to my dog (literally). The butter something lemon that you pour over it was like drinking butter.... no lemon flavor. My side order of Fried Prawns was a joke. I can tell real home made prawns versus from a box. These prawns were the cheap freezer box type and not fresh, and cooked up very gross. That said, my rice was fine but it is difficult to screw that up; the pot stickers were ok . My hot and sour soup needed improvement. Was not hot and sour like the other restaurants and had something in it I could not tell what it was but it ruin the soup. I do not understand what the problem was aside from being cheap quality. The place was literally empty when I came in. It only had the front girl with her kids playing in the empty restaurant... and I heard a few others in the back. Oh yes, this restaurant is the only Chinese facility I have ever gone to that does (not) serve hot tea. Yes, she said they did not have tea. Unreal! There is more but I am done. Do not need anymore stress after paying over $50 for frozen boxed food."

"Best pot stickers in town. We searched for some time to find our new 'local ' Chinese when we moved to the peninsula that was 6 years ago now, and we 're still regulars here. They will occasionally have an off night, but overall the food remains great. The staff are fantastic. As locals now, we walk in and they basically know our favorites they also look after our kids really well true family environment. Don 't expect the decor to be five star but then again, you come for the food, and not necessarily the ambiance. We love this place, and continue to frequent every week or so. Thoroughly recommend."

"Hammer time “Too legit to quit” yes this place rocks and better than some of the trendy Korean bbq places in Jtown. You can’t go wrong. They serve up some delicious stuff. Not cheap but for SF it is quite good. And the authentic charcoal cooking is dead on."

"The food has good “wok hei”, important for any Cantonese place. The dishes I tried came out piping hot and had that wok-fried taste you can only get from skilled restaurant chefs.They take some liberties to standard recipes. For example, the black bean beef noodles I ordered had orange bell peppers, when I would expect green bell peppers. So your experience would probably vary depending on what dish you order. Therefore, food just misses the mark for five stars."

"I've eaten in and ordered take out from here often, has never failed to deliver. The only downside is that takeout portion sizes are considerably smaller than eating inside the store. Ordering food for a family of 4 5 is about 50 70 dollars."
