"I'm so sad that I cannot give more stars to Skyline at Waterplace. Their venue is in such an INCREDIBLE location, in the heart of downtown Providence right on the river. They have a huge balcony that overlooks the river and a ground level patio that walks right out to the river boardwalk. We were able to enjoy Providence's Water Fire with private, front row seats. It was a priceless experienceDespite all of that, the interior spaces are very, very small and oddly shaped, making it very hard to move during an event. It also makes it very difficult for the staff to maneuver in between tables, causing a major traffic jam when it comes to meal time. I'm not sure what happened when we were there, but there were MAJOR delays and mix ups during our event. So much so that the wait staff actually forgot to serve our entire table. By the time the realized this, they served us ice cold food that was over cooked, over salted, and actually inedible. The hosts of our event tried to correct it by offering to comp our table a round of drinks. But at that point we were all so disappointed and turned off by the entire experience that we all decided to leave two hours before the end of the event. Skyline at Waterplace has the potential to be incredible. But until they make some major changes, it's not a place I can recommend."

"Very limited options on the dinner menu and really not broad based appealing. The web site gives the indication that the menu would be larger. Being a chef myself, I always perplexed that most chef in restaurants don't have a feel for salt. Most dishes are under salted. At restaurant, the cassoulet was extremely salty. I think what made i worse was they used a toasted bread crumb topping made from heir house bread which had a salted crust. Also, for a menu that only had four entree choices (and no specials) they had a substitution for one of their specials. My wife had the Steak Frites and I have to say the Frites were great but were served with no dipping sauce. They serve an Aoili with Moules Frites, why not with the Steak Frites. I think they are more interested in pleasing the drinking crowd and not the dining crowd."

"There’s no place like Cafe Nuovo For celebrating important family milestones. We’ve been celebrating my daughter’s birthday there since she was Vince, Brian and Kim Continued the tradition of delivering exemplary service making my daughter feel like a princess as she does every year when we come there for her birthday. The kitchen staff prepared tremendous appetizers and a lovely main course. The desserts were amazing and the wine and drinks rounded out another star night at Nuovo!Thanks my family appreciates the hard work you do so well"
