"I have been here before for lunch and I thought it was brilliant, but on this occasion a group of seven of us booked for an evening meal for two birthdays. I booked with open table for seven people but on the day they confirmed the booking for six, I had to phone to explain it was booked for seven, and they did alter the booking. On arriving at the restaurant they said we should have pre ordered being a large party?. On the whole the service was abysmal but that was not the fault of our waitress who was very smiley, happy and friendly, she was just not given any help to serve. Four of us had to wait a further twenty minutes for our desserts after the others had eaten theirs. The food on the whole was very tasty, but lacking in portion size. The cheeseboard was definately not worth the two pounds extra per person added on to the bill. We also did not appreciate the compulsory 10% service charge added onto the bill with receiving such poor service. The wine we ordered originally they had not got in stock either, so we had to make do with a substitute which was not very good."
