"L'accueil est plutôt sympa.Les noix de Saint-Jacques présentes sur ma brochettes étaient tout de même d'un calibre extrêmement réduit.La salade choisie par ma compagne était bien garnie même si tout cela manquait singulièrement d'âme.Excellente mayonnaise servie avec les crevettes.En somme, moyen."

"Having arrived in town quite late for lunch and not having any references regarding the restaurants in the area, we simply walked around the street along the port checking restaurants out. When we finally decided to go into one, we were not accepted as it was too late. So not really wanting to eat at this restaurant, we ended up sitting in their terrace because at least they would serve us food. In other words, our expectations were low. Now, having low expectations doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate good food, so here we go:Surprise number 1: they were not only willing to feed us but they took us to a nice table in the terrace with nice views of the port.Surprise number 2: We chose as entry the salad with warm goat cheese to share. We received a pretty big salad for two people with fresh products and delicious warm goat cheese served on equally warm and crispy toasts. Delicious!Surprise number 3: I go for the mussels. These come perfectly cooked and yet fresh in a delicious Fisherman sauce. Not a single one of the mussels was closed, which means: good quality, good cooking times and good serving. It is a matter of statistics that at least 1 will not open when cooking; if this was the case, it was removed before serving.Surprise number 4: at a seafood and fish restaurant just in the port of Camaret sur mer, my husband decides he wants to have the House Burger. Not I good idea, I though. You don’t expect a good Italian pizza at a Chinese restaurant, right? Well… the burger was also delicious. The shaped was square just as the bread and by the look of the meat I would say this came from a piece of meat that had been grounded directly at the restaurant. And the French fries that came along were also homemade. Nothing to do with those frozen ones you get served nowadays almost everywhere.Surprise number 5: despite of being so late for lunch, the service was yet fast and nice and we didn’t feel neglected at any moment. So all in all we had a delicious food with good quality products, good presentation and good cooking in an honest restaurant with good location."

"Frankly, I was astonished at many of the negative reviews that I read about this restaurant, though I do note that they were all written prior to 2015. I would have no idea why they became more positive this year.Walking into this place on a Monday in Novemeber, when there wasn't very much else open in town, we were immediately charmed by the decor in the small dining room. The meals my wife and I ate (we both took the "formule" of the day) were much more than simply good - they were truly excellent! And for the 19 Euros or so that we paid (plus a bit extra for a glass of wine and a coffee) it was a terrific value.We went back a second time several days later, once again taking the "formule" of the day and, while it wasn't quite as outstanding as the previous lunch, it was still very, very good. It would be pointless to comment on the individual dishes we had since, obviously, they will change according to the chef's proposals for any given day. I'll just say that we were not disappointed with any of the dishes we had.This is a small "mom and pop" operation (with some occasional outside help), with the husband the chef and his wife as hostess. The latter was extremely nice (so again, hard to imagine some previous reports about them being inhospitable)! The restaurant has some tables out front for nice weather and the view is directly on the port (from across a narrow street), so quite agreeable. I believe the restaurant is closed from about mid-November to sometime in spring. In any case, there are plenty of other restaurants in town, though many do close out of season."
