"Cafe Schlosswache sits on the grounds of the Ludwigsburg Palace, which was my sightseeing destination that day, but lunch came first. I took a seat at one of the many outdoor tables, the weather being warm enough to dine outside. Their menu, written in both...German and English had a variety of regional dishes. I was on a Maultaschen Swabian Ravioli kick since I got to Germany and decided to have it one last time. Potatoes and salad came with the meal. Unfortunately, this version turned out to be my least favorite by far. It had a more commercial taste. Service was fine and the prices were reasonable. Beer and wine are available, credit cards are accepted. Convenient for a meal or light snack if your visiting the palace"

"This is a very traditional German restaurant where the locals used to go. I went on Monday evening and it was full (no waiting time) and I could appreciate a little bit of the German culture. The beer is delicious, and the food was very...good also. As most of places in Germany the staff speak English. One important note is, make sure you have enough cash before you go there, cause they do not take credit cards, only cash. The price is fair, around per person for a dinner (off course, it depends on how much food/beer you are going to order)."
