"We recently went for lunch on a nice Tuesday to enjoy this newly renovated waterfront resto. There was no longer a lunch special, which was disappointing. Given the weekday, and all of 4 other people on the terrace, I think the owners to rethink their strategy, given the competition in the village that offers dessert, and coffee as well.The traditional wiener schnitzel at $18.95 included a salad or soup, a huge piece of meat, fried potatoes and some red cabbage. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was not pan-fried, but dropped into the same frying basket as the commercial sliced potatoes. This rendered the meat very dry. No amount of lemon could save it. I was also disappointed that the potatoes were not the traditional German-style potato salad. Even the red cabbage was too sweet.It's a pity that this restaurant with a lovely interior dining-room, and a gorgeous terrace, should need a more experienced cook. The menu is too expensive for lunch for the area, when compared to the other restos on the strip.The waitress was very pleasant."

"My husband and I took a friend visiting from Germany out for supper.The service as usual was great. We sat out on the terrace facing the St Anne locks as it was a beautiful night. My husband ordered the linguini mussels and both of us ordered the steak frites. I didn't expect it to be that good but had a craving for fries. My friend and I were both surprised at how delicious it was. So tasty. And surprisingly, they served more mussels than you can ask for. Normally it's lots of pasta and some mussels. We were all so pleasedWe shared a pitcher of Sangria, very yummy but could have used a little more booze in it.Just a note, if you're coming by car it can be difficult to park. It's free but always packed so drive up the side streets and you will find something."
