"Stopped off here as I got off the bus from Nice to Villefranche before heading for the beach, for just a coffee. It's one of those "tabac' tobacconists/newsagents that serve also pastries, beers aperitifs and possibly breakfast muffins.They're not really aimed at the tourist, and very much cater for locals from what I see, so I expect they don't want big lens cameras taking photos of the place. That said, you get an honest taste of local snack food for the real French experience .And for coffee lovers, the coffee is magnifique. Just imagine coffee being squeezed from rocks like gold and poured steaming into a little espresso cup, well that's how it tasted to me- liquid gold. I'm normally an americano drinker, but there, I had a double espresso on my second visit, really great."

"The view is wonderful, the food is good and the staff is very friendly, and all of this made having lunch here a great experience. I tried to use my terrible French, before realizing the manager could speak Italian. We might come back the next time we are in this city!"

"Amazingly good food, made even more remarkable by the size of the tiny kitchen...not much bigger than the average burger van you see parked up outside a football ground. Friendly and accomodating. Literally. I arrived late into lunch when it was full but seeing I was on my own, they managed to find a table and a space to put it up. Marvellous."

"Walking past this restaurant it looked very inviting so decided to go in for lunch. The staff were great, friendly we all laughed at my poor French but in a nice way,I ordered from the set menu having a mixed salad then the mussels followed by apple tart all very tasty indeed and at 18e I thought very good value. The staff were very attentive and made that extra effort to make you feel welcome. I would have no problem returning or recommending this restaurant, a very nice experience."

"Restaurant has a beautiful location. tables on the port and very kind waiters. discrete but unproportioned dishes. tried prawns with rice and salami (disputable combination) well cooked rice, good shrimps and dish all in all discreet even if the salami could be avoided and I can not find it possible to pay a dish with 5 shrimps 44€! prawns with pilaf rice and sauce with discreet but heavy curry both taste and price! sweets good but excessively expensive, from 15 to 19€. stellar account also paying attention. Unfortunately not satisfied, many things to see."
