"This is not a posh place but a place to come for a rest and something to eat to break up a long car journey - in our case, 460km. Vivonne is one of many villages along the national routes in France known as a Village étape - a kind of staging village. You will see them on signs along motorways and they are usually reliable places to stop. There are strict criteria to fulfil in order for a village to be admitted. We didn't know any of this but on the day we visited - 4th July 2015, it so happened that it was the 20th anniversary of the establishment of villages étapes and we were given a mug to commemorate the day. You can read more about it on Wiki.This particular café seved a really good salad. There are two sizes; I had the large one and it was gigantic. We also had a pizza and it was less successful - too much cheese and so a little greasy. The coffee was good and the waitress was friendly and helpful. If you happen to be travelling on the N10 and are in the vicinity of Vivonne and want/need a pit stop, this is a decent place to stop. Further up the road is a big Super U (hypermarket) and you can stock up on your provisions, as well."

"In the wood oven is true little paradise! we come from the belgium and these little dishes made with love must be enjoyed in sunny terrace with a crazy pleasure! simple, but with a heart and especially delicious! everything for a really affordable budget! Besides, people are really great! Go ahead without waiting!"

"Not count on the previous comment they are only friends or family sinol it is not possible, the reception is cold, several people arming the bar that cries, calamar at the 7th50 Roman with 6 calamars, by the pig at 15th avc 3 poor ribs, anyway was shameful, I strongly advise you."
