"The first thing you are given is not the menu, but a single poppadom (for 4 people!) which issupposedly spicey in a "Germanic" way and thus the "lowest" strength of "spicyness". Total baloney. This goes on with "Germanc plus", "Indo-germanic light", ending with "Indian plus". I wanted to order "Indo-Germanic", expecting it to be medium-hot, as one might expect from a Madras dish, but the owner refused to serve it to me, claiming that my "European" tastebuds would not cope. Instead I was given the "light" version, which was crazily spicy, much more so than one would expect from a Madras, or even a Vindaloo. The food seemed to be nothing more than a demonstration of how dangerous Indian food can be and how we Europeans aren't up to the challenge. The chap wouldn't leave us alone while we were eating, as others have mentioned here before. Sadly can't recommend."
