"First time visit for my daughter and me. Jarod, our waiter, was polite, helpful, and patient with us while we decided what we would order. We felt very welcomed and I would definitely go back to this location! I was so glad to have made a reservation because those who did not had a 45 minute wait on a busy Sunday morning we were there at 11 AM ."

"We went to Austin for a weekend trip and randomly stumbled across Scholz Garten. With no expectations, we were immediately impressed with the hospitality and history of this place. The bartender and server that helped us were exceptional and friendly. The history of this place was equally fascinating. Ask about the underground tunnels and hidden safe."

"After what I considered to be a strike out at the last place visited, I diverted from my friends and came across the street. Not to worry, my friends soon joined me after. The thing I like most about the spots I have visited throughout DC is the doorman/bouncer. Sometimes they are the funniest person you will meet. Which was the case here. He kept us entertained while we were outside. Once inside, we made out way to what I would consider to be the front bar. Small, cramped, what you would expect from a German styled beer hall. Made my way to the bar and was about to order a drink. I know what you are expecting, I got a beer. Nope, I asked for a margarita. I have to say, one of the best margaritas I have ever had. Once we got out drinks in hand we decided to explore a bit. We wondered toward the back of the place and it was a good thing we did. More open and less cramped feeling. The back is so much bigger than the front. Bartender there was very accommodating. My friends asked for a change of music and he was all with it. Great service the whole time I was here. I just need to know, are all the good places in DC upstairs? If so, I need to get on a stair master before I head back."

"Near the stadium and the river with outside seating, this is a nice place for good Belgian food. This part of the city is filled with activity and you can relax and enjoy the view while you munch on a fantastic belgian menu. We had the beltucky hot brown and the waffle chicken. Will come back for more!"

"Staff was friendly and attentive. Kept our water glasses full. I bucked the trend and did not order waffles and enjoyed the omelet instead with side salad. Bacon in the omelet was crispy and delicious. The salad was fresh and dressing was very tasty and did not over power the vegetables. This establishment was interesting with interesting menu. I would like to try more if I have the opportunity. I recommend this place for the creative menu and friendly staff."

"Our first attempt to go into the taste of Belgium was very good. we were immediately greeted/seated and it was good for our request to move from the door (very cold today) to other seats. we ordered our appetizer together with all our entreen and specified we have the braut to start and all food came out immediately so that there was a little rushed vs we were there to enjoy our food and take our time. (which was confusing when they were not busy) the waitserver was probably new. the food was all fresh and hot, and we will return again, so the whole impression was good and we will be back and we recommend that they try it well!"
