"Travelling in the area we were amazed that most food places were closed on a Tuesday lunchtime so went back to the old faithful ‘spoons, which was busy. Ale festival choice of beers was very poor, I think only one or two extra but food was what it said it was, certainly no more and no less, the chicken and bacon panini was but light on filling but overall you know what you’re getting. Could do with some new tables, looked rather battered"

"This was the time we'd been to the restaurant while visiting the Eureka National Museum of Science for Children which is less than minutes from the restaurant. The welcome is friendly and we found it is a great place to take our grandchildren...who love going to Eureka. There is a good choice of main courses and the children were happy with the options on the children's menu. My wife and I both had the fish pie, which was delicious. Our son had a beef sandwich and he said he really enjoyed it. The food is reasonably priced and the service attentive."

"Yesterday evening our 3rd visit in 6 months and we were a little despised that the menu had changed until the food came as usual it was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection one of my friends asked the waiter why they took the prawn cocktail away and he asked the cook that made it, there seems nothing too much annoying that eating road was excellent, but I would book how last after 5 we left it"

"Food genuinly excellent.. good portions..excellent menu choice..service friendly and professional.. very reasonably priced..live music downstairs with excellent singers presumably local talent..outside very cold..inside did not appeared to be heated. Excellent window views of an old mill town with superd stone buildings."

"Ate here recently with a friend. Great menu with the food being cooked to perfection. I opted for the fillet steak (rare). Cooked to my liking. My friend chose the fish burger. Washed done with various cocktails from the list! Keep them coming. Waiter was friendly and the whole experience was a must try! Will be making this one of my regular places to eat. I’ll be trying the Sunday lunch over the next couple of weeks."

"Came here whilst on holiday in the area and me and my partner had the afternoon tea. There was a large car park at the side which made life easy as we came with our 3 dogs. Once inside we were given a friendly welcome by the staff there. We had cocktails with the lunch and staff member Ellie suggested a coconut cocktail and they were lovely! The dogs were also treated to a very nice dog treat which they thoroughly enjoyed. The afternoon tea had some lovely sandwiches and wraps and well as a nice selection of dessert items. If I could suggest anything, it is that they consider adding to the menu a savoury afternoon tea with sausage rolls, scotch eggs, halloumi fries ect... Overall great service with nice food and should I visit the area again I will certainly be returning here."
