"I 've visited Keshk several times over the last few years and have experienced it as part of a large group (dinner and lunch), medium group (dinner) and a couple for dinner.<br/ <br/ There are many positives about Keshk. The food is fantastic tasty, big portions, always served piping hot and the meat had that lovely chargrilled flavour I love. The spicy potatoes warrant a mention alone they are just divine. The staff are extremely nice we once were leaving a tip for a particularly excellent waitress and she was all shy and said 'please there is no need, it 's too much '. Another time, at a work lunch the waiter brought a few extra dishes for us to try at no charge. It 's BYOW and I think you can bring beer as well which is a massive money saver. All in all it is very good value for money considering the quality of food you get.<br/ <br/ To give a fully rounded review there are a few things I would say you should be aware of. Keshk is massively popular with large groups so can be very loud if you 're there on a busy weekend (this is also a positive they do cater excellently for large groups but if there are only 2 of you it is a bit noisy). The ladies bathrooms unfortunately on the Saturday night I was there were reminiscent of a nightclub that was to be very honest the biggest negative for me. The BYOW thing is great but it does mean you will see lots of hen parties, birthday parties etc so if that 's not what you 're going there for, consider going maybe on a week night to make the most of the experience. They do tend to put the larger groups downstairs but upstairs can still be busy. Also, we found the service to be almost too prompt we asked to hold off on dessert for a bit as we were finished starters and mains after only an hour (there were 5 of us) so felt a little rushed.<br/ <br/ I would definitely go back here but for me I much prefer it when it isn 't quite so busy."

"Had such a great time here at a beer tasting event last night. Big thumbs up to our bar man Conor who talked us through all our drink selections. made us feel at ease. The bar is full of character and the beer garden outside is the perfect wee spot for a sunny day, although you will be fighting the crowd for a table!"

"I'd been dying to try Bison Bar for ages. I gave my boyfriend the choice of tapas or BBQ and of course he chose BBQ so off we went to Bison on a Saturday evening before going to a show. When you first walk in you're not too sure what to do because it's essentially a dive bar inside. There was a waitress hanging around and she asked were we there for food or drinks. Answering food she told us to sit at one of the free tables in front of the window (which is grand for people watching) handed us menus and told us to order at the bar. I went for the pulled pork, chips and onion rings (I love beige food, me). Padraig had the half chicken, potatoe salad and chips. The barman who took our order was super friendly and food was quick to come out. The chips were lovely really crispy and served with a Chipotle dip. The batter on the onion rings was amazing. The pulled pork, the bit I was most excited for, was good. It was super tender and it was a huge portion but for me was lacking a slight bit of flavour. This was helped by putting some of the BBQ sauce that's on the table on top. There's also a fab mustard y BBQ sauce on the table which was right up my street! I had the Calamity Jack cocktail which was nice strong and Padraig had a bottle of Orchard Thieves. Total cost was around €40 which I thought was alright. This place is super casual and would be a great place for a group to go. Would definitely return."

"Myself and my sister grabbed dinner here a few days back as she works just around the corner and I had been meaning to try it out since it changed from Ely last year. The location is really cool, right by Grand Canal Dock and is designed really well. There's a great, laid back atmosphere and the restaurant is really open and spacious. It was fairly quiet, as it was early on a Monday night, but I expect closer to the weekend there'd be a great atmosphere. <br/>The staff here are great and really accommodating. I ordered the featherblade of beef and it was cooked really well, and the meat was especially tender. I wasn't expecting there to be such an extensive drinks list, and they had some great craft beer options. We were in and out fairly quickly but would definitely go back again for drinks or a group meal."

"This is a handy spot for a casual night, a first date, sports or a few before continuing the night in town. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The ivy also serve good decent pub food which always hit the spot with a few drinks. Portions are generous and at a reasonable price."
