"This send to be a bit if a typical workman's pub, but some much needed TLC had been put into the place, transforming it as a pleasant little drinking hole. Prices are competitive, service is polite and the surroundings pleasant. Don't like the telly in...the main bar? Pip into the lounge, where a quit area allows chat to be carried out at a sensible level. The garden in quite warm in Summer and the pub also has free WiFi. Definitely one to visit and to come back again."

"The park opens again for normal pub hours. No hot food yet, but it will be available after the kitchen has been renovated. Custom selection of large beers. They serve cobs, pork cakes and scotch eggs at good prices."

"They called when they went after a drink and looked inviting from the outside. it should probably be expected for a Friday, but very busy and unfortunately very rebellious. pub was much worse for wear and rough with numerous groups. the personal was pleasant and apologetic for... those who had clearly appeared since their work. incapable of having a conversation with the loudness of the offensive language we have left and would not recommend it unless it is under 25."

"Great home cooked food. the steak ale pie is mouth water, clobige pieces of steak and they can really taste the ale. with a real bake, not only a puff that rests above. excellent selection of real ales that are regularly changed. and the waitress who served us (blondish hair) was excellent and attentive. destined to visit and book a taxi"

"When this place first opened, it was gold. A hidden gem on a trading estate by a train station, with good food, good beer and nice live music. The last year or so it's gone to absolute s . Gone are the days are talented acoustic artists, now its turned into a place where failed bands bring their drum kits along to make as much noise as possible, for 2+ hour sets, making it impossible to enjoy a conversation here. You will leave with your ears ringing and spending a whole night here will result in that lasting through till the next day. The price of the drinks has rocketed too, you're looking at high end city prices, meaning for you to have any chance of enjoying your night through the racket, you will spend £50-100. I've never known a place go from 5 stars to one stars on such a short amount of time with such a small change in management. A lost opportunity and in all, complete waste of potential."
