"Can't recommend it high enough, put it this way, I drove over 160 miles to dine here and it never disappoints, absolutely perfect, my absolute favourite restaurant in Dorset, we were staying overnight outside Bournemouth but we still preferred driving to this restaurant as its top notch, caters for everyone, the staff are amazing nothing too much trouble , we'll done"

"Started gong here on Halloween ..i had so much fun that i now go at least twice a week ..lovely staff and on a sunday , a very friendly crowd .. they have live music at 4 which is always good ..well almost always ..and it gets packed out.."

"Went for lunch on Saturday, around 2pm so past the rush. Served and food brought very quickly. It's Wetherspoons and it's pub grub, but the food was well cooked and presented, with big enough portions what more can you expect for the price? The fruit salad was very fresh and big. Staff were very friendly and efficient."

"The Golden Fox is consistently good. Each visit has produced an excellent meal and service and the portions are generous and well presented. The mushroom stroganoff and gammon steak are particularly good! Staff are extremely courteous both on the phone when booking and in person....Wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Golden Fox."

"Good food in a very nice atmosphere. The menu is a mix of traditional pub food and some Asian dishes. Seemed to be only one person running the bar and serving guests but she did a great job keeping up with everything. We sat inside but the garden looks very nice."

"Took my mum today to celebrate her 94th birthday as a treat, have been before years ago, and the food was great. Well her food was good, but I ordered pork belly and it was all fat, maybe a quarter of a inch of meat. The waitress didn’t ask if everything was ok, and could see that I have left all the 4 inches of fat on my plate. My mother called her over and said that my meal wasn’t good. She told me that I should have said something sooner, but no one was around. Then another waitress came up and asked me if I have ever had pork belly, as it it very fatty. I replied an said, yes several times and have never had 4 inches of fat and 1/4 inch of meat. I will never go back as their attitude is not good. I never complain and just paid the bill, but will never go back."

"Went to eat here 26th Aug for an evening meal. The staff were welcoming and the pub has a very friendly atmosphere. Our meals were very tasty and the starters are a meal in themselves. Really good portions. Will go again. Well done"
