"At the end of the day it's a Weatherspoons. Cheap food and drink is what you go there for so don't expect gourmet al la carte. That said, this is probably the best Wetherspoons I've been to. Great garden in the summer and fireplace in the winter. Staff I have met have all been friendly and efficient. Very happy this is our local."

"The Lennoxtown Swan Inn closed down in early 2012 and re opened in October 2012, but note that the new place is very different from the friendly pub restaurant that it used to be. Gone are the fireside couches, the music, the family friendly atmosphere, the dog friendly pub section, the excellent food, the West Brewing Company beer and the drinks promotions. Instead, the latest incarnation is a disappointing mix of low quality booze, overly bright lights, and flat televisions stuck on the wall playing BBC News 24 at high volume. Staff behind the bar confirmed that under the new foreign management there have been a series of baffling and arbitrary policies which don 't appear to be intended to attract or retain customers, especially those customers typically found in a country village like Lennoxtown. It 's open again, yes, and that 's good, said one, but it 's not the same. I 'm not sure for how long it will actually stay open. The lack of food service is a particular disappointment. The previous version of the Swan Inn featured renowned food, including such deals as 2 can dine for £12.99 which offered an excellent two course meal including wine for one price. The new Swan Inn has no food at all. A staff member suggested they might start to serve food in the next few months, but added, If they do then I 'm pretty sure it 's just going to be bog standard pub grub. The drinks menu doesn 't exactly compensate either. Instead of the award winning West Brewing Company brews on draught, the Swan Inn now promotes shots of Jagermeister with a large 'bomb menu ' of shots for the hard core drinkers. Coupled with brash white lights, no music, and no family friendly section, anyone expecting a return to the subtly lit, cosy friendly pub restaurant of the past are in for a shock. No surprise then that in less than a week since its re opening there have already been a number of incidents of fighting and vandalism in the pub, including a near riot last Friday, which then continued on Saturday afternoon when the same group returned for more Jager bombs and fighting. There is now a hand written 'no tracksuits ' sign on the door, but with no dog owners, no families, and no tracksuits, it 's not immediately clear to whom the pub is now aimed. The fact that the new owners do not even remove the bars from the windows when the pub is open is perhaps testament to the type of pub the Swan Inn has become. Pity."
