"Mangoo is a large establishment near the central church. It serves decent international food at standard prices. The cocktails look good although I only drank draft beer, which was fine. The great thing about Mangoo is that it has specials nights. We went on Wednesday...where a huge rack of ribs was only Euro 6. Worth 4 stars for this alone."

"Very close to the cathedral, Haydnbrau is a former brewery, and offers many beers on tap. With the large garden patio in back, I was able to get a table well away from smokers. My meal involved two goulash soups: the Pikante Gulaschsuppe mit pusztawurstelwerk,...a broth with slices of meat, slices of sausage and cubes of potato; and Hirschgulasch in Burunder sauce mit Wurzelwerk dazu preiselbeerpfirsch, Servietten knodel UND Rotkraut, venison so tender it fell apart, buried in a rich thick brown sauce. The red cabbage was spiced with pepper and was superb. The dumpling soaked up the extra gravy so the bowl was clean. And there was a half of a peach, filled with homemade cranberry relish. My choice for beverage was a dunkel draft, which was perfect."

"Wir wollten unsere weihnachtliche Einkaufstour entspannt im stilvollen Ambiente ausklingen lassen. Das Personal war sehr höflich. Das ist alles was ich positiv zu bemerken habe. Ein halbes Backhendl ist nur für Mutige zu empfehlen. Das Fleisch war alles andere als frisch und so etwas ist gesundheitstechnisch ein Wahnsinn! Außerdem war der Geschmack eine Peinigung für den Gaumen. Einfach ekelerregend!! So etwas darf nicht passieren. Die Salatbar und die Dressings waren leider auch nur mittelmäßig. Resümee: Die goldenen Zeiten des Bienenkorb sind augenscheinlich vorbei."

"I have stayed at the Hotel Ohr several times over the last few years, and one of the things I love about staying there is the Restaurant. Certainly it is convenient, but the food is really excellent. They have all the traditional Austrian foods, but also have items with a "twist". My biggest regret is that I am never in Eisenstadt for some of the special food events. I would REALLY like to be there for the Höllisch Scharf event especially, but alas, I am only there at a limited time. They have a number of other special food events that look fabulous. It's hard to say what is my favorite dish there, because it simply depends upon what I feel like eating at that time.I've never had anything that I haven't enjoyed, from appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. In addition to the good food, they have several different settings, which also changes it up. I absolutely love the gastgarten. At home I eat outdoors as much as possible, and I love the garden area. There is nothing better than dining, or simply a glass of local wine or beer in the garden.They have several different spaces for dining, catering and parties. I had never been in the Stübe that is on the main floor. At night with the warm, pine room and beautiful lighting, it was so cozy and intimate.Highly recommend!"

"The food was not bad but the waiter was rude he used the informal you dutzen which is considered to be very rude in some countries including Germany and Austria when talking to me only because my German was not perfect and I used it only because he spoke no English... . It turned out he was the shift manager and a member of the family owning the place at the same time. Showing no respect for your clients is one of the worst things one can do when running a business. We do not recommend the place."
