"Returned for 3rd visit and after my last review, we were happy as the original staff were back on and gave us better customer service. Think the owner needs to review what is actually going on with the hot/cold staff.This visit staff attentive and welcoming, thank goodness unlike the last visit.Food hearty and delicious.Service quicker, but not as good as majority of restaurants, hate to see if it was completely full. I personally don't think one serving at the bar taking orders and one doing drinks and bringing food out really works.Remember you walk in, they don't seat you, go straight to bar and order your meals, if the line is long you will be standing there for 30 minutes to have your order taken.!!Novel idea, does it work? For some yes but in the 3 visits we have seen a huge number of walk outs, shame. There is a great potential here but management need to review.Will we return, no 3 visits enough and too many other great choices where we don't have to line up at a bar to order. Real shame."

"Came here before a dance class with a few others. Meals were around $22 but you could get a small plate also which was good as we where off to dance didn't want much. Veggie friendly and decent."

"My wife and I celebrated Mother's Day dinner at Kanela. We arrived early so we can have dinner before the show. We had to choose 2 tapas out of 6 choices. The Chorizo was tasty and the gambas (prawns) was still sizzling when it was serve ed and it was delish. Our mains was their famous "paella" it was served on a big pan with lots of prawns, mussels, bits of fish and calamaris. Its was a suer dish except the rice was a not cooked well, but overall the food was nice and tasty, and the staff were very attentive and helpful... the Flamenco dance is really "awesome" and "inspiring". Good value indeed, and i would highly recommend this if you want something different and special for your "special"one."

"Food was ok, the meat was tasty but maybe a bit salty in my opinion. , salads need to improve ,need more improvement ..Entertainment! What entertainment an old guy shaking his backside and dancing with two ladies from the public that's it... entertainment was very amateurish..That is not a Show!!I was actually embarrassed and I find it the dancing girls are good and dance well but not what I was expecting , many years back the show girls were amazing it was a really Brazilian style ..., Now you look at them an it need some improvement , more girls and guys dancing floor , it look so cheap show.. and host does a good comedy act but I found it rude to the public (Ladies) overall has a lot of room for improvement."

"Major props to the selection of side dishes that you can order endlessly because they're definitely a change from the grilled meat and shabu shabu. For the price of $35, the quality is still good and depending on the night, quite plentiful. Service was very accommodating even to the point of closing (yes we stayed that long). Would definitely recommend for gatherings"

"On the recommendation of our lovely and accommodating waitress, we ordered the mixed vegetarian plate and the mixed meat plate. Absolutely delicious! We washed it down with a bottle of sweet but fresh honey wine (also amazing) and were very impressed with our dinner! Would...definitely come again!"

"This is a very busy restaurant, with lots of people and lots of quirky Japanese paraphernalia all over the walls and ceilings. The menu was great fun, all the classic Japanese pub food and some substantial items as well and lot so of sashimi. There is also a great sake list, very extensive and I would recommend the sparkling sake for a first try if you have never had it before. The food came out promptly and was great value. We loved it and had lots of fun, the staff were also very helpful and knew their product. we look forward to coming to again. PS Make sure you book as it is very popular."
