"The price for a12 ounch steak Was increased to $19. That's about a 30 percent increase from prices listed on the internet. This place is no longer a bargain. That was my reason for going there from. Ridgewood. When you increase your prices Try One dollar at a time not four Dollars I am not going back to Charlie Blood's since I am a retired guy Living in a fixed income. The salad was very good And the steak good. However the new price for a small steak is over the top. No business from Me ever Tom Emery"

"I recently went to The Hive, it was my second time there. My 1st time was last summer in what was still a very Covid heavy time, so I really didn 't make it past standing at the bar as soon as you walk into the place, since it was pretty packed, we weren 't able to grab a seat the whole night but my friends and I had a really nice time, service was good. However my second experience wasn 't as great. This last time the night started off great, music was bumping, nice crowd, but not too crowded, and service started off great. However by nights end the service experience completely changed and went down the tubes! Long story short(er), last call was called...I was at the bar ordered last round for my friends and I and literally as soon as I did that the bouncer came up and said you we 're closing everyone has to go , I said I literally just ordered last round and the bartender just served it to me (us) why would you guys call last round and not even 2 minutes later kick everyone out? This is not my first time at the rodeo, I know how last round works, but here it was like order your $12 drink pay for it and then get out and leave a full drink at the bar. I told the bouncer your bartender just poured this drink.. the bouncer then proceeded to ask the bartender when he poured the drink, the bartender then decided to have selective amnesia and said ughhh.. I don 't know . I asked the bartender you don 't remember just pouring these drinks? You literally just handed it to me , at this point I had just finished signing my check.. and left a 21% tip.. I grabbed my check back and now left a 10% tip, I should 've left no tip, but I didn 't. I felt insulted, irritated and disrespected at this point.. I took a few sips and my friends and I started making our way out. Other people were still leaving as well. As we 're walking out, bouncers at the door, people walking out.. some guy standing at the door with the bouncer says something like get the *eff out, I was caught off guard as we were single filing out the door to leave, as were others.. my natural reaction was to ask who he was talking to and then he stepped up like he was going to do something, drunk people happen, it 's a bar, I get it, it was the reaction that the staff/bouncers had towards me like I was wrong for asking this fool who he was talking to, seems like this gem of a guy works there, or is a friend of the staff, not a good look to have what looks like an employee or friend of employee, who seems to not be able to handle their liquor stand (swaying) at the door talking smack to your patrons, especially a woman and then become combative when asked who he 's disrespecting. Like I said, it 's a bar, drunk things and people happen, but between paying for drinks and having to leave them, the bartender not speaking up with the truth and the bouncers not putting their friend or whatever in their place for being a nasty disrespectful drunk this place won 't be getting my business again. It 's unfortunate because I planned on going back and trying out their food and would 've brought several patrons with me, that will no longer be happening. To my knowledge the owners of the Hive just opened up a sister establishment in New Milford which I have already been to and the staff was lovely there. I loved the place, the food was great, it 's a completely different vibe and I will continue to patron that establishment, as the staff has shown nothing but respect and class, unfortunate that I can 't say the same for the Hive."
