"We visited for a late lunch, family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) and a small dog. This is one of the only places around that you can get pub food, with the kids and a dog indoors so we were limited however…pleasantly surprised. We all ordered adult meals, fish chips, 2 big breakfasts and hunters chicken, the food was hot, tasty and plenty of it. All food and drink was reasonably priced and what I would expect to pay when eating out with the family. We were mainly served by a young lady who was friendly, welcoming, polite and always had a smile. She checked back on the food mid meal and cleared our plates away after we had eaten. I wouldn’t let the bad reviews put you off, I enjoyed our visit to this place and if returning to Guisborough would definitely eat here again."

"Lovely meals and great service. We went in happy hour and would definitely recommend the potato skins but tbh the soup, pastas and pizzas were also really lovely. "The food was lovely. 2 of us had rib eye steak, which was cooked exactly as we asked. The other 2 in our party had steak pie, and again, it was lovely. Very generous portions. Service was good. It lacked a little atmosphere. The music wasn't turning on until everyone except us had left, and we were about to go. It's just a little thing, but it makes a difference to an evening. I would definitely go again and recommend, as the food and service were good."

"We went Saturday night to the bistro. So welcoming. Thought we had decided what to have as viewed that weekends menu online.......changed our minds about ten times once in. Fantastic deep fried black pudding and mixed mushroom starters followed by perfectly cooked seabass and liver and bacon......all delicious. Definitely going back.....it was lovely"
