"I want to see myself as a Burger connoisseur; What is my last meal in the death cell? The All-Star breakfast by Waffle House, but a Wagyu Burger by Hilo Burger Joint comes in a short second. The trick to a good burger: cooked directly (medium) and the right season that both HBJ was successful. I am a very basic guy (bud, meat, cheese), but take my word: this burger gave me a half sip. Don't even let me go over the Pommes: cooked and fed to perfection. Large selection of brews from the islands and ghosts from all over the world. 11/10 recommend if you are on this page of Big Island."

"I have to say, it’s all about the crab legs. This casual, but very pleasant restaurant that is conveniently located in the Hilo Hawaiian is a hidden gem. The buffet was a typical assortment of well-prepared local favorites, but the crab legs were some of the best I have ever had. They were tasty, juicy, and full of meat. Well worth the mess you have to endure cracking into them. Another thing that stood out was how nice and attentive the staff were. All the staff were full of smiles and cheerful. Not what you normally get at a buffet dinner anywhere. Finally, the Passion Fruit soft serve was fantastic. It wasn’t to sweet or tart and perfectly ended the meal, but there was a very large assortment of other desserts if soft serve isn’t your thing. The price seemed high at first, but considering the quality of the food, free soft drinks, beer, wine, and coffee, along with the delightful service, it is totally worth the price and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it."

"Coffee selections were varied. The rest in m6 party drank iced or regular coffee. I ordered an iced black tea which was brewing, so not ready for me. We ate the popover by itself. It was delicious by itself, but we noticed other diners eating the popover sandwich which is filled with a variety of items. Looked very appetizing. The pastries were also delicious. I ate the chocolate puff and tasted the Ube glazed donut. Perfect to start the day."
