"Had a fantastic evening at The Royal Oak; the comedy night there upstairs is fantastic! Three great acts, including Harry Hill. The set-up in the spacious beer garden out back is brilliant; we watched some of the Euros football afterwards on the massive big screen. Great atmosphere! Will be back soon"

"First time here, date night and I had high expectations given the reviews. The food was all quite good, good quality meat and tasty traditional Korean sides. I was a little disappointed about the service based on the rave reviews for service though because although we explained it was the first time for us at this type of establishment still we felt a little out of place and we weren’t sure what to do or how to order and didn’t get much explanation/guidance. Perhaps it was an off night...However, the staff were all polite although we didn’t always understand what they were saying (but it’s an authentic Korean restaurant so that part is expected). It was consistent with the traditional Asian style restaurants where you must ask someone to come to your table and they don’t check up on you as much as westerners would normally expect. The food all looked picture perfect, a work of art to just look at. Still, I would recommend this place but wouldn’t suggest it to beginners at Korean food based on my experience alone because I felt a little out of place and confused most of the meal. It’s more for those who really expect high-quality food."

"Visited this restaurant with my wife as I've been craving Korean food as my planned trip to Seoul has had to be shelved due to coronavirus. Sorabol did not disappoint. I can recommend the kimchi fried rice and bulgogi beef for the BBQ. My wife...came as a Korean food virgin and has left a convert."
