"Wanted to like it. First time we didn't realize kids weren't allowed, so we tried another time sans kid. It looked cool in the photos. Got there and a table was mostly cleaned for us as there was still crumb city left behind. Cocktail list has a lot of sweet drinks and vodka based things. Food from the Spoons kitchen next door is very basic, sandwiches, paninis, etc. Wife had the eggs Benedict that was made with lunch meat slices like you'd get from a package. I had the adult grilled cheese sandwich. Not much going on, a dab of pesto, at least on one half of it. Wife's wine glass had major lipstick leftovers on the glass that had to be sent back. Uses plastic plates, guessing shared from diner next door. Not going to bother trying this again with better options around."

"I wanted to share a wonderful experience my friends, family, and I had at E.J. Wills Gastropub. I made a reservation here for a party. Upon arrival the manager and staff met us with open arms. They set us up on the side room, I believe with children our party was 26 people. We had top notch service, the room worked great for the party. Waitresses did an outstanding job tending to all of our needs. They even allowed us to bring in our own birthday cake after everyone had filled up on wonderful menu options from appetizers to meals. Overall I would highly recommend E.J. Wills to anyone. The atmosphere is very welcoming and laid back. This is a great spot for after work drinks, the occasional celebration, and it's family friendly. Thank you for another wonderful experience!"

"Amazingly good smooth beers. My wife and I did the tour and tasting (3 beers for $10). I had the Baltic Porter, Triple Dunkel, and Run for the Pils. They were all super excellent. The Triple Dunkel was especially amazing as it’s a 10.35% dark beer, and did not have that high alcohol dark beer taste, it was extremely smooth and easy to drink (which is scary for a 10% beer."

"My husband and I went there for a lunch date. We both got the lunch steak and shrimp. Cooked perfectly, shrimp we got grilled and also cooked perfectly, garden salad was cold and crisp and perfectly dressed, my side was the sweet potato fries which were crispy and tasted great! My husband's side was loaded baked potato and looked big and yummy-he said it was good. But what made our experience the best was our server. His name was Connor and he was attentive but not a bother, had a sense of humor and more importantly knew his stuff! I never order cabernet but after he listened to what kinds of wine I like he made a suggestion and was dead on with the selection. It was perfect!!! We are never disappointed at this Saltgrass location. The McKinney Saltgrass rocks!!!"
