"This is a good place to stop for lunch and apres ski. It is at the junction of the chamois / caboche/ rochearbois lifts and near to the piou-piou club. On a sunny day, the deck chairs and outside seating are lovely to absorb the rays.Good varied menu but the kids particularly liked the crepes and chocolat viennois, and we loved the vin chaud.Service is fine but can be busy."

"Our meal at the Fromagerie (Alpine Restaurant) at the Fermes de Marie was catastrophic. We are Megève regulars for over 25 years, and have never experienced such a disappointment, especially when the restaurant flaunts itself as one of the best in this category! The grandest of the evening was when the server forced me to taste the corked wine while my husband had already felt it was no good and the smell left me also without doubt. I must admit that I had never been treated like this. I complied only because we were with friends and I did not want to make a scandal. But what a strange feeling when my husband told me he had seen said server in discussion with the sommelier and the wine bottle. Can we go as far as to think it was a deliberate attempt to foist this bottle on us? Probably seen the insistence of the young waiter. Besides this first early mishap, I would add that the fondue was poor, the room was noisy and especially that it was smoky because of the lack of air extraction when people ate meat fondues. Having watery eyes reflected the amount of this smoke. Is it reasonable to eat in these conditions, especially as the price for fondue or raclette remains high? Our recommendation: do not go. You will be disappointed and will have the impression that one has made fun of you. This testimony reflects the experience at the Fromagerie des Fermes de Marie but one can imagine that the same is true on the traditional restaurant and hotel given the mentality highlighted during this evening."

"If it is as expensive as this makes sense to expect far better services. the place was half empty, but we still had to get up and ask a waiter to take our order, and then wait another long after we had asked to pay before someone...you could put your mind together to take our money. it is also one of these mountain restaurants that it can not be used for water, because it is not drinkable (not a problem with some others in similar height in this ski area) then costs 7.50 euro for 75cl mineral water."

"Nous nous sommes rendus dans ce café et avons commander deux grand café et un chocolat ...Le café avait brûler , il était franchement inbuvable, d'ailleurs nous ne l'avons pas bu.Au moment de régler , sans demander la moindre ristourne nous l'avons simplement signaler au "barman" qui nous a clairement envoyer promener , nous a tourner le dos sans même nous dire au revoir .Résultat 9euros pour du jus de chaussette et même pas un mot d'excuse !"

"Fast service, great Savoyard food, a big terrace (come on time as it is first come, first serve), reasonably priced, this is all you need after a morning of skiing on Cote 2000. There is a solid choice of local specialties (with one la...farce only to be found in this restaurant) and a daily dish. Have a fresh beer and finish with a genepi and you re ready to attach the afternoon."
