"Fans of Belgian food and beer, this is the place to go when you are in these parts of the Central Brittany. Like so many great places here, Le Saint Jacques is lost in the midst of fiends and forests, a few minutes only from the N164 or...Plemet. The bar area is however with locals singing at lunch and at weekends, French and expats and drinking together quite happy. Wide selection of Belgian beers on tap thanks to the owners Kurt and Ellen. The restaurant is simple, but quirkily decorated with polished old oak doors turned into tables. The menu is short but well filled with Belgian specialties, meatballs in tomato sauce, beef stew with dark beer or fish stew. The entrecôte is a thing of beauty, both in size and taste. The frits are homemade and naturally roast the Belgian species. Obviously, the products used are produced locally and selected for their quality. We have to try the desserts. Prices are very reasonable."
