"I only had a special seafood plate from this friendly country pub. recently as garnel oyster fish platter this great common meal surpassed the expectations including delicate squid rings, crispy broken fish (stained imperial? oysters, big tiger garnel and a delicious mini seafood ball. also chips, sauces and a bit green salate. 10 outta 10 in the kitchen for this! also make them a very good eye or scotch filet steak."

"Dropped in to Mt Barker for a meal on the way to Adelaide from Melbourne... we were pretty hungry after the boat trip across the Straight and driving, so we tough we detour and get some good ol' country tucker.the service was good, but the meal not for human consumption. We should have realised from the franchise-look of the menu, but we were too weary to do the maths... anyway, I though I'd go safe with a pub standard meal and go for the parmigiana. you know those "twice-cooked" dishes?.. this Parmy looked like it had been twice cooked over and over again. I could have re-soled my shoe with it, and my partner's creamy lemon sauce, that accompanied her dry chook... had either coagulated sauce crusty skin on it or unmelted cheese at the bottom of the pot.all in all, I felt worse after the meal than before... A real shame and a waste of time and money."

"We had BB for dinner - ordered Barramundi grilled & crumbed calamari. The fish was cooked to perfection, seasoned well and was delicious. Calamari was tender and the crumb was yum. Chips were cooked in fresh oil, so they were also very tasty. Served with lemon and their own tartare sauce which we LOVED! Price was excellent. We will go back!!"

"We have been many times to Mount Barker Hotel, and never been disappointed. Last night I had steak with pepper sauce and veggies, absolutely brilliant, one of the best steaks I have had anywhere by far (and we travel and eat out a lot! Im very very picky) service was friendly , we were served nice and quickly, had a fab table. The cab shiraz was very good, and I had creme brulee for desert which was also very good. our friends had risotto, and a pork dish I cannot pronounce lol with various desserts and every one was delighted with their choice. Is definitely my number one choice for a great meal, and friendly service."

"Best bakery in the south! highly recommended to stay there on a visit or a trip. amazing selection of gourmet pees, sandwiches and cakes. the coffee is 100% on point for anyone who appreciates a good beer. many seats in the indoor and outdoor areas or drive to the centenary park in the city center to enjoy a beautiful place."
