"Nice variety of American and Mexican food. The usual bland selection of beer. Bohemia Negra, which was new to me, the best of the lot. Service was friendly and attentive with a real effort to overcome language differences. Close enough to hotel to return another time."

"It was the first time my husband was visiting Mexico we met up with with my family for dinner. The place was great as you first walk in the ambience was very welcoming authentic decor real mariachi were playing music, cold beer they're salsa was delicious home made and warm. The food was delicious juicy cuts of steak. The tortillas homemade and warm. It was so good we decided to come again for brunch the next day. I was impressed they had a buffet and a lady making hand made tortillas and quesadillas made to order, posole, menudo. I can't wait to go back."

"Arturo is the original in Nvo Progreso) never disappointed! Service is always top notch of VERY attentive waiting staff w/o Pushy), who know their menu and bring everything quickly or at your pace to call it). This is the place where you never have to ask for a new drink Boozy or not), for more chips salsa or for a replacement lapkin that... everything only appears if you are not looking! The menu is filled with Mexican favorite street Bistek tacos are my fave), food is tastefully always perfectly cooked... I recommend the queso fundido cheese chorizo. Nvo Progreso is the safest city on the border. Many shopping, dentists, pharmacies and bars. It's clean and friendly. If you drive over the river and back, make sure you have plenty of gas because the line can be super short 10 minutes) or very long 2 hours). My parents have visited Arturo for more than 50 years and I have been highly recommended for more than 30... We are happy to live within 15 minutes of Arturo and use the proximity when we can. Love it!"

"Esta visita no teníamos ninguna reserva para ver el partido de Greenbay y eramos aproximadamente 12 personas nos alojaron temporalmente en el bar en la barra y no ofrecieron bebidas pero estábamos desesperados en cuando la mesa se desocupo no alojaron en ella y acomodando mas sillas así hasta que se desocupa la otra mesa y completarlo todo inmediatamente nos sirvieron las botanas y la cena gritamos reímos y lloramos por nuestro equipo la atención genial"
