"I went there yesterday and had pizza. It was crispy and nice although they could have been more generous with the salami. The white table wine was also ok. The interior is a little kitchy."

"Typical ski lodge with fast food and self - service. Not much of a fine dining but they also do typical Austrian dishes. It can get really busy but flows fast. No credit/debit cards accepted. It's lovely to sit outside when nice and sunny and enjoy the view."

"We have been looking for a good place for a dinner and this one was one of the best in Radstad on TripAdvisor. I can only confirm this was a good decision. Menu is rather similar to those offered by other restaurants in the region....But the quality is amazing. We have ordered two pizzas, garlic soup, tomato soup, tortellini and some chicken in a souce and with rice. All was very tasty nicely served, If you're somewhere around Radstad- its certainly one of the best places to eat and spend nice evening."

"We had lunch here with friends and family in total. Wiener schnitzel was thin and crunchy, fleischkrapfen were a pleasant surprise, as was the bauerngroestl. Desserts were homemade kaiserschmarren could have been a meal by itself."

"We are a family of five (10, 7, 2 yo's) and we're looking for a nice dinner out. We heard of a restaurant in the woods from fellow travelers and after looking around found the Sattelbauer. What a find!!Firstly, the drive to the restaurant is up a winding road in the middle of a forest (great buildup!) and once you are up at the top, the entire Flachau valley is spread below. There's a children's playground and a small petting zoo outside, but as it was a little chilly we opted to sit inside. The inside was nice and warm with an authentic rustic decor. The menu was only in German but our waitress was extremely pleasant and patient and explained everything in English (I forgot her name... Sorry!). Her recommendations were spot on and the dinner was delicious. The younger kids had chicken nuggets with fries while I had the venison dumplings (delicious!!), my wife had a grilled trio of pork, chicken and veal (delicious!!) and my oldest had classic Wiener schnitzel (delicious!!). The dinner was perfect! The bill was 75 EUR and included a round of drinks (beer for me), desert and coffee. If you are in the area, you have to eat here!"

"Cheese plate, pork roast, salmon, suppen, coffee: the gas house can everything. the personal has tasty, eating is good bourgeois,fusy, excellent traditional, only the rooms are old and need renovation, cheap for that."
