"At the beginning of the year the food and service was great, 3 months ago the fries with our food were greasy and cold. Sunday Nov 21st, the place was empty, the cook kept asking the waitress how to cook this or that, the service was ok since no one was there at 4pm, got take out burger and chicken bacon wrap that tasted not too bad but was mostly romaine, ranch with a little bit of chicken BUT NO bacon...fries were cold and so greasy they were inedible. My husbands fries were same and his bacon cheeseburger had no mayo as asked and had NO bacon either. WE WILL NOT EVER GO BACK...may as well have burned 30+ dollars. They used to be the best. We heard since the owner opened a new restaurant, anyone that could do anything went to I believe the new place. 2 separate couples said they will not return either...They went to the Rack to eat, they watched another couple come in to eat...they waited forever and just left... the couple we knew said that they had sent their food back 3x to be fixed. Normally I would not lay it all out like this but the downfall of this place is heartbreaking and the fact they do not seem to care about the place here in Rochelle is not right. Cause it was ALWAYS busy, good food, good service and friendly caring people...WHAT REALLY HAPPENED?????"

"The Good: Super Cute B&B with lots of great public spaces and a wonderful breakfast. Our host, Alan, was responsive and informative. The B&B itself is a converted church decorated with lots of antiques and interesting things to look at. There are lots of places to sit and relax. There is also lots of magazines and games as well as two TVs in the public areas. There is coffee, tea, soda, and even wine available. The well water tastes fantastic. Alan has a pet Cockatoo who is well trained and friendly. He brought the bird out at breakfast and we could pet him or have him sit on our arm of shoulder. The wifi worked great.The Bad: The bed could be more comfortable. The sheets were soft but there was a hole in the fitted sheet. The mattress was a bit rickety. Sadly, a guest sleeping in the room adjacent to ours snored loudly all night. There was also a skylight in the room which meant light waking me up earlier than I would have liked. I should have brought an eye mask and ear plugs.Other Info: Breakfast was served at 9 am. There was delicious yogurt, fresh fruit and granola. The hot foods served were scrambled eggs, bacon, and a french toast like dish which was delicious. There was also bread for toast as well as coffee, tea, and orange juice."
