"Visited on the Bank Holiday for a celebration meal. Food was lovely well cooked, piping hot and very tasty. I had steak which was cooked exactly as asked for and hubby had a fish platter. Plenty of food, nice atmosphere, clean and safe. Definitely...coming back again soon."

"All wetherspoons have their own charm, but this is absolutely beautiful. beautiful decoration that reminds them of days, but modern. just one of the best wetherspoons out there for it, and also the most civil in which I was. its quiet, relaxed, even at peak times. large pub"

"Had a great late lunch with a friend who is a local here. I had Lamb Shank. Perfectly cooked, with thick dark gravy, just up my street. My friend had rump steak. We both commented on how filling and tasty our choices were. Really enjoyed the ambience, the service and the food. The interior is massive, but was spotlessly clean. Really enjoyed it here. "Tonight we had the most amazing meal, eating was amazing and the atmosphere friendly. nothing was too much annoyed and we were looking for, we didn't have to look for employees to ask for something. the prices are reasonable, but eating was so high quality. I would recommend the kings head as a family friendly place. thank you."

"We have been coming to this restaurant for at least 17 years. Our boys now men love it also. The family run restaurant has always provided fresh, quality local, food. We live 30 minutes away but travel every week. We love to eat in the restaurant but also in the lounge by the open fire. Danny that carves the meat, remembers everyones name and remembers all their favourites choices. The vegetables are amazing with all the sauces they are cooked in. The staff are so welcoming and friendly as well as Rachel and her daughters. It’s never been beaten in our opinion and that’s why we are continuing to eat here."

"Went with a friend for a Carvery lunch. We ordered a standard carvery plate and there was a choice of Beef,Gammon or Pork. I had the beef which I have to say was tasty and tender , the Onion Gravy was also very flavourfull but...that is where it ended . We received slices of meat each which I thought was very stingy, the Chef was very good at cutting thin slices as well. The vegetables were watery and overcooked , the food was lukewarm. Had to visit the loo and it was obvious that they are not inspected regularly . I won't go into details but suffice it to say I was not impressed . Budding opera singers may be glad to learn that the cubicles in the Gents have no lock bolts and so a rendition of your favourite song is required to prevent unwanted incursions whilst you are busy' The decor of the pub was nice and there were a variety of areas and table sizes to cater for couples or larger parties. I won't be returning though............."
