"This is one of the original restaurants in San Pancho. In the early 80s there were only two beach restaurants, Las Palmas and Marco's, and La Chalupa tucked away on Mexico Street.Back then, it was the only restaurant that was open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. To this day I have never seen it closed.Besides breakfast (fresh-squeezed orange juice!) and a daily lunch special (comida corrida), one can order freshly caught fish (delivered daily) prepared any way you like, chiles rellenos, fajitas, shrimp, ceviche, and caldos de pollo or res.They serve beer (and wine sometimes) but no liquor. However, you can always bring your own wine and they will supply the glasses and you may pay a voluntary corkage fee (at your discretion).The service is great and you can enjoy totopos and salsa while sipping your pre-meal beverage.When you visit, please take a moment to say hello to Doña Lupe, the matriarch and leading light who's warmth and sense of family this restaurant embodies.¡Buen provecho!"

"The cacti garden out front is so gorgeous. The food was very good and well priced. I had the chicken enchilada's and my boyfriend had tuna. We stopped several more times for the fresh squeezed juices. We had the pleasure of staying in La Playita and walking past the little restaurant row almost every day to and from the beach."

"Fui con mi esposa y unos amigos y la pasamos muy bien. Tardan un poco en atender, pero vale la pena la espera. La comida es buena, aunque la porción de pasta es muy reducida. Recomendaría la hamburguesa. No está nada mal. No tienen cerveza de barril, pero la de botella está bastante fría. La noche que fui tocó un grupo de música oldies (The Beatles, The Doors, Cat Stevens, etc.) y aunque la música se sentía un poco alta, porque estábamos justo enfrente de ellos, fueron muy buenas interpretaciones. Salimos con buen sabor de boca."

"Dejé de visitar a Wings Army, su calidad en alimentos es pésima, la mayoría de las ocasiones no tenían la variedad de cervezas con las que cuenta el menú, los meseros no tienen ni la mínima actitud de servicio. Muy mal."

"We are at Juan’s Place and it was excellent! Best Guacamole and Seafood around! The staff is friendly and attentive! Great location near the beach. I highly recommend you give them a try the Mai Mai fish is amazing!"
