"My wife and I had stopped in for a dinner and both had the chicken parmigiano.I felt that they were a little small, however my wife was very content with the size.Also i had asked for no salad just chips, and the amount of chips i recieved was, i felt, inadequate, i would have excpected there to have been more chips added in lieu of the salad and veg.these small complaints not withstanding, the meal tasted great and the sevice was excelent, the staff were all very friendly and it was an amazing surprize to see a magician who performed both in the dining room and later again for us out in the beer garden.We would have preferred that he not have performed during our meal, as it was cold by the time we returned to them, to be fair however he was performing to another table that was not eating and we were trying our darndest to see, very distracting whilst you are trying to eat.probably the nicest (and only) barman magician we have ever had the pleasure of meeting, a little frightful looking perhaps with his beard and tattoos, right up until he speaks and does some of the most amazing magic that my wife and i have only ever seen on TV Absolutely Amazing.All in All, 5 stars, the food was not perfect in size, but the price was very reasonable considering and the staff More than made up for it, the service by our waitress was Friendly and fast, she was a delight to be served by.Follow that up with a TV standard magic show and you have a an amazing experience that simply no other pub can match.I still have no idea how he did it!"

"Appropriate prices for good food and drinks. Especially in warm weather, if you can sit outside, it's pretty nice. Definitely a good relaxed place to meet before going elsewhere, although I could spend the whole evening there. Honestly, the only reason I didn't have 5 stars is that their guacamole was an obnoxily neon green color and it made me mad at the nachos. But the burger was quite delicious. All beers were on the spot."

"Good place to get a beer and something to eat. Vegetarian/vegan options are limited, but the goat cheese and apfelsalat was so good I would just come back for it! the place was not too busy on Friday at 8 o'clock, but I think that their liveliness is dependent on what sport games are. there is also a small cozy corner that sits like 8-10, which would be a cute place to have a private event if allowed."

"We had a great experience of wine tasting and lunch using the SA tourism voucher. We were not disappointed. All the staff were wonderful and the wine and food were very generous. The tasting room is not huge but we were there early so not crowded. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of room and even some cute farm animals deer, geese,chickens."

"Had a chance to eat here after the recent change in ownership. Had the crepe with salmon and eggs. Absolutely marvelous. The staff was warm and attentive. Will definitely come back."
