"We had the most delicious food and drinks tonight, all for a great price. The martinis were up there with the best we’ve ever had, which can be so hard to come by. We had the duck and the steak and both meals were exceptional, they were tasty and tender to boot. The service was incredible and we’ll be coming back very soon!"

"Highly disappointed with the service this morning. Normally, this place is amazing. Great food and good service, however on this occasion my breakfast was served with fried eggs when I asked for poached and there was a hair in my mushrooms. The server asked if I would like to send it back and of course I said yes. She seemed annoyed at this request apologised and took the food back. I was expecting to get a fresh cooked meal after this but what I appear to have gotten was a fixed up plate where they have removed the affected mushrooms waited five minutes and reserved me the same meal. The meal was barely warm and not very tasty. Not to mention the disgusted feeling I got while eating it knowing that the rest of my mushrooms and food were still around this person’s hair. I was made to feel as I if I was a hassle by asking to have my meal replaced. Highly unacceptable and unsanitary."

"Had breakfast there yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed. Huge breakfast menu, and really good value for money, quick service, and coffee was excellent too. Great location - highly recommend Cucina for a quality cooked brekkie."

"The Elm Tree has been at the bus interchange (under various names) for quite a few years now. It's always been a basic daytime kinda cafe. But a recent change has brought a good Sri Lankan chef on board for evening meals.I dropped in when I heard it was open for dinner just for a look and had the Sri Lankan platter, which is a full-size meat curry plus two smaller veg curries, rice and condiments for $18. It's a big meal - making it about the cheapest in town. With a stubby, you can still walk away for under $25.And the food is fresh-cooked and genuinely Sri Lankan. They've replaced the furniture inside and it's looking much sharper and there's a huge outdoor area under the big elm tree. It's ideal for watching the passing parade on a summer's evening.This place is a little off the beaten track for an evening meal, but well worth searching out. It's gotta be Launy's best value for money! And of course they do takeaway, too."
