"Delicious old school Toronto gem huge portions of great food. You cannot go wrong with prime rib dinner or of course any of the extra thick steaks. Decor is meh but it's an old greasy spoon and the prices and portions can't be beat"

"1. The music is too loud, and the music selection is not beneficial for a dining environment. 2. The cappuccino was a latte. Cappuccino is coffee with foam, not flat milk. 3. the challah french toast bread was as thin and as tasteful as Wonderbread.... the order looked flat and did not come with any shrimp except for some dusting of pressed sugar. the maple syrup was already poured into the French toast. was it really maple syrup? I'll never know. 4. the waitress gave her orders to the people in front of the restaurant over the heads of the sitting guests, like a drill sergeant in the army. 5. the order of the frits of my friend looked like the frozen oven freezing crinkle cut variety. everything in all, though my friend had a soft place for this restaurant and tried to impress me with the choice of restaurant, I felt very disappointed. I hope you don't hire a cook to sneak this badly presented food."

"On our last visit for brunch here, the food was quite good but the service was rather terrible.On this visit, the quality of the food has really deteriorated, while the service has improved.We had a reservation for 6. We arrived early. They would not seat us until everyone in our party arrived. Even though everyone in our party was there on time, they were twenty minutes late seating us. During that time, you had to wait outside, as they told us not to wait at the entrance as there were a number of people waiting to be seated. They really need to learn to honor reservations, not just seat you when it suits them.The food today bordered on awful. The frittata was burned and dry. The home fried were greasy, overdone and tasted off. The omelette special was runny. This is a surprise as the same dishes were excellent on our last visit. Perhaps there were so busy today that the quality of the food has really suffered.On the bright side, once we were seated, the service was much better than the last time."

"Went here after reading reviews on trip advisor, and wasn’t disappointed! Had breakfast here twice and both times it was amazing! Staff really friendly, food tasted amazing, especially the pancakes! They were the best pancakes I think I have ever had! Only minor downside was...they didn’t have wifi for customer use, which is really handy for foreign tourists who get charged extortionate amounts for mobile data. Would happily return here on my next visit to Toronto!"
