"My husband spoke positively about his previous visit to this restaurant for brunch with a family member so we decided to give it a try for dinner. The food may be good but the service was abysmal. When we walked in, it was like the record skipped and conversation stopped weird vibe. The place wasn’t busy (two other tables were occupied) so there was really no reason for my husband to flag down the server after waiting for 10 minutes so she could take our order. At least it didn’t take 20 30 minutes for the meals to get to the table (15 minutes for a burger and onion rings/clubhouse sandwich and wedges). When the server did walk by the table, she didn’t ask how everything was, as is customary at any restaurant. Her only question was, “Do you want more mayo?” There actually should have been mayo on the clubhouse sandwich, at the very least and some form of condiments on the burger. With the other tables, there was friendly banter nothing for us. It may be a matter of taste but it certainly isn’t ours and we wouldn’t recommend it."

"The Greek salate is my favorite in the city. try the beet dressing or regularly Greek. the reuben sandwiches are also great. one of my favorite places. I'll take all my friends."

"Very good breakfast, friendly staff. It's a very small place so seating is limited, get there early if you want to get a table. They have lots of options for breakfast and lunch, we enjoy going here for breakfast. The big breakfast is my go too, sausage and bacon and eggs and cubed home fries. I subbed out the ham for extra bacon."

"A friend recommended this place because it's been there forever, and has always been good...and I couldn't agree more. First item I tried was the Gyro, and I went back the next week for the same thing. De-fricken-licious. My fiance is a vegetarian, and she loves the fresh ingredients and sauces. The prices are excellent as well.Things to know if you are a first time customer:1. It's old and dated...don't be scared...the delicious food covers for the weathered decor. 2. They are currently changing owners, but the new owner gave me the inside scoop. The previous owner refused to sell unless the new ones learned how to make all the meats and ingredients. So everything is traditional and will taste exactly how you remember it. Seriously, when is the last time you went to a sandwich shop that made their own meats. 3. The menu is a bit chaotic, but it's okay. I asked the owner what he recommended, and went from there. It's my favorite thing to do at a restaurant...ask them to make your food exactly how they would want it. Obviously they know what tastes best. As well, the new owners vowed that they are creating a newer, easy to read menu. You might as well try it out....You've already read this far. I freaking love good food, and highly recommend this place. Just get the gyro and fries or salad. You'll be happy and full."

"Went there for lunch once and breakfast once. Showed the owner that there was a hair found in the breakfast and she defended her staff saying that there was nobody there who had blonde hair. Not true.........shortly after, there was an employee who came out of the kitchen with blonde hair. Anyway, no apologies and very rude. That was the last time we came back and will not return even if the food was free because the owner could have handled it a much different way. Coffee is great though."

"Nov 20,2022: Been going to Louis for years. Sadly, today I overheard the Greek owner speaking loudly at another table, saying some very discriminatory things, most notably the false notion that she has every right to check vaccination status of patrons. Very sad to hear this coming from a business owner who is supported by the public. We won 't be back and I will be sure to pass along my experience at Louis ' with others. It will be Baker 's grille from now on for us! The food is just as good, except the owners at Baker 's are not openly discriminatory."
