"GO THERE FOR THE FOOD NOT THE SERVICE We went there for the experience and the food ..The quality is service was very poor . The food was tasty ..We brought this to the supervisor’s notice ,he apologised and tried to cover up by offering...desserts etc but the damage was already done. No one ever replenished the glass of water ,Plates and cutlery were laid incorrectly ,Raita was served after the biryani was over , dal was cold cause of their miscommunication."

The JAFFRANI CHICKEN Half is 4 bugpcs of browned chicken... WENT FOR DHABA STYLE EGG CURRY JEERA RICE ROTI! The EGG CURRY was great and good for 2 ppl.. Jeera Rice was tasteful... THE DHABA offers various foods in ITALIAN Chinese as well. Do this for a FLAVORFUL MEAL!!"

"It's an old renowned cafe in shimla. It was about to close when we first entered there but the owner was so humble that he opened it for us and some and allowed us to dine in. I enjoyed having chocolate brownie and famous apple almond cake. Also you must try the hot rum coffee served here. Inside the cafe you can see many books which suggests that the cafe owner have a good taste in terms of reading. It's old yet beautiful. It have an antique look from inside which makes it so different from the other cafes around. Highly recommended."

"Good food. GOOD SERVICE. Fair reasonable prices given that there is exactly there in Mall street Shimla. BREAKFAST menu is limited, but a good taste to start the day. Lunch and dinner menu is healthy. Overall a good place to hangout with family and friends. Pure Veg Restaurant."

"I visited to shimla with my friends last to last month so tried this outlet In Shimla, me and my friends were looking for a a good place for sit down dinner late in the night around 11.30 which is very late for shimla. All places were shut and someone suggested we try 1871. The place was inside a hotel and we were a bit unsure but so glad we went there. It was well done up, super comfortable, staff was really helpful and the food was excellent! We had a chicken curry, pulao and kathi roll. Was made exactly as spicy as we like it. Finger licking good! Cheers guys! Would love to come here again Highly recommended"
