"Butter chicken was nice! Mango lassi was a good consistency, not too thick and not too sweet. The spicy eggplant could be less spicy, it was a bit too much to handle. Naan was great."

"There are some places with which you stick your belongingness. It could be due to many reasons. But my attachment with Bencoolen Street in Singapore is due to this place. Called Al Jilani Restaurant. <br/ <br/ Every time I am in Singapore, I go here. No matter what and no matter in which part of the city I am in. <br/ <br/ Actually, the other reason being, the Bencoolen Street itself. This one way street starts at Sim Lim Square on one side and end with this restaurant on the other side. Of course you have OG Centre, as well as the Bugis Junction nearby. But, my reason of being here is this restaurant. <br/ <br/ It has a place to sit inside or you have the common option of sitting on the pavement with tables and chairs put. I have most of the time sat outdoor on the pavement. And that too, most of the times, on the same table as much as possible. <br/ <br/ The restaurant offers Indian, Malaysian and Chinese cuisine. But I have always stuck to Indian food. The paratha (many kinds of them), Biryani or the tea. Well the tea is a must here. Hot or the hot one with lots of ice in it. Whatever you like. Both versions are equally tasty and amazing. I have never left this place without having the tea. <br/ <br/ The staff is friendly and the service is quick. It’s a halal restaurant if you are particular about it. <br/ <br/ Overall, it’s must visit for me since 2008. Which means, this small, low cost, no frills place has been able to put a place in my heart and mind due to its good food and cheap price. In that order of course. <br/ <br/ Do visit, if you can and you will not be disappointed."

"Always been a fan of Barrels although they don't serve in jugs anymore. Nevertheless happy hours for 3 pint of Guinness $27. Mark and the staff showed that they emphasis alot on good customer service. Orderd Fried rice with egg, mutton briyani, gobi pakora, nann and butter chicken. Taste was just right. Not too salty. Portion was sufficient as well. Ambience was good for relaxing meals. Do call for reservations as can het crowded at times."

"Very good chettinad food. A bit spicy but still good. Highly recommend the mutton soup, mutton sukha, and chicken kothu. The pistachio and mango kulfi was also good. Reasonably priced. They don't take reservations, only walk-ins"

"Came here for lunch on a weekday, limited parallel parking lots along the road and the place was slightly packed. Food was tasty and delightful! Not a huge fan of Indian food but this one hits right. Servings were generous as well. Especially recommend the fish head curry."

"Good banana leaf experience, I had the mutton masala which was great, it was very tender and the sauce had good flavour and very spicy. Also had the fried fish which was nice but a little dry from being overcooked. Byriani rice and sides were good too."

"First off, the service by Mdm Sara was very professional. She called me to inform that the restaurant will close within 30mins of my Eatigo reservation, clearly aware we may not have enough time to order and eat. I rescheduled for the next day and was not disappointed. Gobi manchurian was crispy and tasty. Fried okra was not oily and salty. Went well with the mint dip. The Kadai Paneer and vegetable briyani was decent. Very clean and welcoming restaurant and highly recommended. Will definitely return to try the rest of the dishes."
