"Was stuck overnight in Adelaide with flight delays and on the hunt for a good cuppa. The reviews and early open drove me here and it did not disappoint! Lovely people, lovely coffee."

"Service Poor and Food Average. Ordered a bottle of wine which was whisked away from the table. Only problem was the waiter didn’t ever bother asking if we needed a top up. In the end I had to ask for it to be put on the table. Ordered ham hock as a main which was huge and had so much bread it could have fed three people. My vegetarian main was similar. Way too large and bland. Oh and visited the restrooms to find a random toilet brush out of its container lying on the cubicle floor. Can’t say I would rush back."

"We stopped by La Moka on a super busy Saturday evening, and grabbed a quick drink before heading to Bread and Bone across the road. My Aperol Spritz was beautifully refreshing, and the others in my group also enjoyed the various cocktails they had. Can't wait to try their food, the lasagna at the table next to ours smelled amazing! And the atmosphere on a busy evening is intoxicating and reminds me of Europe. A must try!"

"Excellent service, a very great breakfast menu, would recommend coming here for an easy brunch while in the city. Located right on top of the Myer centre to provide an interesting view!"

"The unsmiling lady who took the order either didn't pass on my request for crispy bacon or the cook ignored it. Methinks the bacon was merely waved over the grill. Methinks also that their sausages are just purchased at the supermarket - flavourless. Coffee was quite good and served in thick cups which kept it hot throughout my breakfast."

"I love Fancy Ices! I am generally not a big fan of dessert but I am a huge ice cream fan. Having said that there are a lot of disappointing ice creameries scattered around Adelaide. They all seem to meld into one monotonous template for me endless variations of flavours but somehow all tasting the same uninspiring and so sickeningly rich that it's a struggle to eat a whole cup or cone. But you have to try because you forked out a lot of cash for that scoop!
The difference with the ice cream at fancy ices is that it is made using liquid nitrogen. The ice cream is airy and fluffy and the flavours are tasty but not overpowering and packed with that sugar hit. The result is that you can eat a whole cup and not feel disgusting afterwards.
There are currently only 7 flavours available but they are all great, and the process takes a little bit of time. They aren't the cheapest but that's understandable because of the process required. The prices are still almost comparable with regular ice creameries though.Purely for ice cream, I would much rather visit Fancy Ices than anywhere else in Adelaide at the moment. I am yet to try any of their other desserts though."
