"My daughter and I wound up in Charlottesville by happenstance and have just fell in love with this town. Public Fish and Oyster has been an utter delight so we had to go twice. If you have the chance, find a seat at the bar during happy hour. The service was fabulous, conversation with fellow guests wonderful. The cocktails, excellent bourbon, oysters, and lobster rolls were enough to get the wheels turning for a reason to journey back from Colorado. Thanks to all!!"

"We came understanding the great Thanksgiving dinner we had four years ago. This time not so. My wife had the chicken thinking of that moist turkey from the past) IT WAS VERY DRY! …..and the sauce could not make up for it. P.S. my wife was an executive chef ….. now teaching culinary) My rockfish was better but the presentation made it look like a glorified chicken tender. "I ended up coming here out of the whim. My impression, it isn't bad. Not the worst, not the best, just right. Everything is priced right, and turnaround time for ordering takeout was fairly quick. The burger is just a basic cheeseburger nothing special. French fries are seasoned and fried perfectly. I also got the BBQ pulled pork, and that was actually pretty good.
