"By far some of the best food in Tampa. Have loved the Executive Chef owner's culinary flair since he had Le Maisòn Basque over 20 years ago. He's no longer in the kitchen on a daily basis, but his Head Chef, Sous Chef and Chefs de Partie do a wonderful job of maintaining the quality and consistency so important in a great restaurant. Sad to say that service was lacking to say the least. Waitress was certainly pleasant, but not very attentive. Very long night, and it wasn't as if we were impatient or in a rush. We sat upstairs toward the back so we wouldn't be real close to the fabulous band that was playing... so ambience was very nice. Waitress didn't bother to write down our tapas orders and there was a mix up as a result. How Veal Sweetbreads were confused with our order of Muscles is beyond me. She did leave the Sweetbreads for us on the house, which was nice and I've got to say they were really delicious. She forgot all about the salad I ordered, until I told her to just skip it. The rest of the evening we waited and waited and waited. Shouldn't have to ask for: refills on water; complimentary bread; where our main course was after a half hour just sitting there; the check please. Needless to say... she didn't ask if we wanted desert nor did we want to stay any longer. We'll be back to give this new location another shot. Perhaps better service downstairs. Would have rated 5 stars if service matched the quality of the food."
