"Grabbed lunch here over the weekend. Had the arepa trio and some tequeños. All of the food was made fresh and was really good. Unfortunately this place doesn't have the buzzers for when your food is ready so you have to wait nearby to hear your number. Wasn't sure if this would be exactly like Arepa Zone but happy to say it is. Delicious!"

"I rarely write negative reviews and I’m generally easy to please, but we ended up being pretty disappointed with our meal. The only redeeming factor was the tres leches cake which was delicious. We ordered takeout and it took forever despite the fact that it didn’t appear to be busy. The al pastor in the enchiladas was pretty dry and there wasn’t much of it in the enchiladas. We didn’t receive any chips with the queso dip we ordered. We just decided to wait and have the dip the next day for lunch no big deal. I figured even though the meal wasn’t great, how could they mess up queso dip? When we ate it the next day, we realized it was basically just Velveeta with a bit of meat thrown in pretty much the quality of dip you’d receive if your ordered nachos at a high school football game. I’m not trying to slam this restaurant with a terrible review, but it was not what I was expecting, so I wanted to share my experience to help temper others’ expectations. If you’re looking for a quick meal at approximately Taco Bell quality, then cool. Otherwise, you may not enjoy the food here. We really wanted to like it, but it just wasn’t great."

"This truck is fantastic. My wife is Venezuelan and we just stumbled upon it while actually walking to another cafe for breakfast. She ordered an arepa with shredded beef and cheese and I ordered a black bean and cheese arepa. Both were amazing. The arepa had a delicious grilled flavor and the fillings were also wonderful. My wife said there her meat was succulent while not being too messy at the same time. Highly recommended. We will be back."

"If you're looking for a taco experience in a beer focused food hall located within the DC area then Hi/Fi is the place to be. Located within the roost in SE dc hi/fi does a good job of hitting that taco craving after a few beers.Don't remember what the tacos were just remember they went will with the beers and were decently priced (for DC). Not the best or most authentic taco I've had, but definitely gets the job done and will probably be my go to for quick bites at the Roost from now on."

"This is a really great little spot for creative takes on traditional Mexican (Oaxacan) dishes. The service was excellent, from the moment we walked in and were greeted and seated by the host, who was there to open the door for us as we departed, to the perfect service from Sergio, who also made our drinks. It is a cute spot with some great decor, but the tables were a bit close together and we were seated by a table with 5 people that I almost felt like were sitting at our table. It didn't feel like it needed to be that way, so it was a little confusing. We absolutely loved a few dishes and like the others. The Hamachi Tostada was delicious, as was the Octopus in Pink Mole. The Lobster Octopus in two moles (black and green) was really good, with perfectly poached lobster and delicious sauces. For me, this dish would have been a bit better with a rice as opposed to the mashed potatoes that accompanies as it just made for a funky and heavy texture. Finally, the Tamal was a let down as it was pretty bland and had a cakey texture. I would not get it again, nor recommend. They also had some creative and delicious cocktails and I wish I could have tried more of them. Excellent choice in DC!"
