"Rosie Cannonball is impossible to get into at times that’s the price of success but it hasn’t gone to their head they are still the nice folks committed to serving excellent food.I fist went here almost a year and half ago and since then I have frequented this establishment for lunches and dinners — mostly impromptu. Do yourself a favor and plan and make reservations. Don’t be like me.I love the flank steak, I love the greens salad, the asparagus is good, steak tartare was weird but tasty last time I tried it. In fact let’s talk about that. While the menu looks Italian American, prepare to be surprised by combinations of ingredients, and freshness of their food.The pizzas are good. The focaccia was surprising!My least favorite are the pastas. I guess their pastas are not for me.Desserts are divine. You must try the honey cake and if they have a chocolate mousse dessert get that too.Beyond all of this be prepared for the menu being completely different when you show up as they rotate items in and out.Expect to get excellent service, and excellent food.The main dining area is a little cramped you will hear conversations from tables around you. Don’t go here to break up with someone, the whole restaurant will be watching and listening.Other than that probably one of the top three restaurants in Houston. The best one for me as far as I am concerned."
