"We were here on a Friday night, our first night in Rockland. It was rainy, but otherwise it would have been a terrific view of the bay. The food was good (I had a fantastic blood orange cosmo, lobster stew and flounder florentine; my husband had an octoberfest, clam chowder and seafood pie) and we left very happy. "I came up from Chicago to check out Ontonagon and stayed in Rockland, right across from Henry's. The owner of the general store told me not to miss the Friday fish fry. There were more people there for the fish fry than I'd seen in Rockland the past three days. In all my travels I've never seen a better buffet. Not just fish, and desserts to die for. If you're within 50 miles on Friday, be sure to stop in."

"We were in Rockland earlier this day (Tuesday), walked out to the Breakwater Lighthouse and back. One of the hottest days that I've ever spent in Maine. We were ready for some good seafood and cold drinks, but every restaurant we considered was closed, strangely. Being from Maryland, we were surprised, and of course, disappointed. We had considered Claws and Sea Dog Brewing. We were doubly disappointed when a restaurant that my husband and I had eaten at and enjoyed last fall, The Jack, was also closed. Happened upon this place that, with a name like Hill's Seafood, promised to have what we needed. We were fortunate to arrive just as a table cleared up indoors, as we REALLY wanted to get out of the heat. Our waitress was friendly, cheerful and helpful, especially considering how busy they were. The food was great too. Our waitress brought us a pitcher of ice water to more easily replenish our glasses with. We were very grateful to have this place of respite available."
