"My wife and I stayed in Abingdon as a half way stop to WV and had read reviews about this place and decided to try it out. Well, they were out of brisket and pork loin and collard greens, and Even straws! My wife's fried green tomato BLT was very good and she was pleased. I tried a pulled pork and had to substitute sausage for the pork loin. The sausage tasted like kielbasa from a store and the pulled pork had no flavor. The mac and cheese was bland and the baked beans were just OK. The hot sauce served with the meal made the difference and changed the beans to good and added flavor to the sandwich. The waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the food and the beer. She made the meal enjoyable. I do question the hygiene in a kitchen that allows a dog to roam around though."
